SOCIAL SYSTEMS LAB
AT A GLANCE
Social Systems Lab aims to develop and support a social infrastructure that will help us manage the diverse and rapidly amassing challenges we face as a species.
Our goal is to sustain and strengthen the commons, allowing each member of society equal access so that they, in turn, might develop their gifts and provide for the same opportunities and resources to those who will one day follow.
CROWD SOURCED GOVERNANCE
Collective decision making for the Commons
How do we improve the public decision-making process? How can we increase public representation in government? How do we follow and weigh in on the political issues most relevant to our interests?
Two years of research and development have resulted in our flagship prototype, Crowdpol, set to launch in January 2020.
TOOLS FOR CHANGEMAKERS
Changing the change-making game
What does it take to change the world? Whom do we select to do this and how do we hold accountable for the money they spend and the decisions they make on behalf of us? How do we nurture trust and confidence in the individual in a complex, global community?
In tandem with our first project, Crowdpol, we are designing an eco-system of software tools to improve management and transparency in social impact projects, as well as the processes which fund them.
FUNDING THE FUTURE OF SOCIETY
Next level crowdfunding
Defining the problem and coming up with a solution are two of the criteria that need to be met to effect change at any level, as individuals or as a civilisation. The third and most difficult criteria that need to be met is how do we finance said solutions.
The final piece of the puzzle we have begun to explore is The Altruistic Wallet, the means by which we may use market mechanisms to collectively fund the changes we want to see
